This island is a great getaway place for the family and has a lot of history and beautiful scenery. Surrounding Beaver Island are several uninhabited islands, each with it's own unique features. There are plenty of shipwrecks to keep your dives interesting. The water temps tend to be on the colder side and wet suits will likely be needed. 

The folks at the dive shop are very helpful whether you're going out on the charter or just getting some helpful hints and diving on your own. I cannot say enough about the staff. They truly embody being a "Beaver Islander" and go out of their way to assist.

About Beaver Island:

Beaver Island is the most remote of the inhabited islands in the Great Lakes. Its location makes it a prime area for scuba diving, snorkeling, and vacationing. The water surrounding the island contains shipwrecks and other underwater scenery.

Normal water visibility can range anywhere from 20 - 40 feet. The best months for diving are June through September. Water temperatures vary during the summer months and wet suits are recommended.
