Greetings fellow anglers!!!
Whether you are a bank angler, pole angler, fly fisherman, or a conventional angler looking for a new fishing venue, you’re at the right page…so to speak!!! We offer a South African company situated in the Kruger National Park South tourism region of Mpumalanga Province. We offer guided fishing trips to pristine spots within a 50 kilometer radius of the Mpumalanga Lowveld towns of Hectorspruit, Malelane and Komatipoort. We’ve negotiated with the resident farm owners (only possible if you’re a LOCAL) to offer anglers the opportunity to fish on their private land, either farm dams and/or stretches of the Komati River. The guides have extensive knowledge of the local waters, in fact they have helped stock most of the dams around here with BIG fish – and they are, above all (two of our guides have been awarded their National Colours in fresh water fishing) very keen anglers.
They are always ready to recommend the best baits to use, and to ensure you don’t have to revert to telling stories to your mates about “the one that got away”…
We offer boat based angling on board our 4 man boat “Scarey Express”. From the boat we target mainly Large mouthed Bass, various Tilapia species, and of course the notorious African Tiger Fish "hydrocynus vittatus"...which translates as "striped water dog"!!!
Sessions are normally 6 hours in duration. Your guide will meet you at your accommodation establishment or a central point, and lead the way to the appropriate venue (wherever the most fish had been landed over the time of your trip). Our summer temperatures are very high, and we try not to be on the water during the hottest times of the day. Remember hats, sunscreen, binoculars (abundant birdlife), a cool box with the necessary refreshments, and something to keep the hunger at bay…or arrange with us to have a picnic lunch served at the venue – how’s that for service?
At a nominal extra fee, we can provide fishing rods/reels and tackle of high quality – but you are of course welcome to bring along your own “lucky” rod…
As far as possible we maintain a policy of CATCH AND RELEASE. A complimentary photo of your catch will be e-mailed to you after your trip, and you might even feature in our Fishing Gallery.
In addition to fishing, we offer an extensive range of Day Tours and Adventure Activities in and around the area to compliment any Fishing Safari (and to cater for non-anglers).
